Gen III is there. Looks good and is worth the trip. PT Cruiser convertible, Crossfire, Powerwagon and lots of other non-Mopar concepts there as well.

Yes! Just got back from the show. I took some interesting digital photo angles of the 2003. Plus, PT Cruiser Convertible and Crossfire.

I'll try to post 'em tomorrow.

Went to the NY show on Monday, and the show itself seemed bigger than ever. A couple of quick observations:

1). In checking out the new Viper, I would say the chapter 3 car is not as wide as the dimensions that have been generally released. It appears to be the same width as the current car. Also I believe there are DOT laws that require running lights for vehicles over 80 inches wide or thereabouts. Has there been a clarification from Dodge on the actual width of this car?

2). The Lincoln MK 9 concept was the best concept.

3). The Mini Cooper is retro-neat and although less outrageous than the PT Cruiser, it seems "cooler".

4). A number of concepts look like the "radio control car-buggies" that car-loving 12 year old kids might have played with in 1984. My take on it is that those car-crazy kids are now 30 year old car-crazy designers and they seem to be reflecting the design sensibilities of those jacked-up Tamiya, Nikko, Traxxas, Kyosho designed fantasy off-road toys that captured those kids' interest.

5). America still offers NO full size 2-door rear-wheel drive V8 powered car!

6). How many of you would buy a mid-size to full-size Mopar passenger car with a 505 cid V-10 in it? (this should really be the subject of another post...)

Big Car? I don't think so. Smaller than a Sebring...I think Ron's talking about a Charger style car....Right Ron?

Right Joe. A big car. At least a four-place vehicle...

A full-size car... Something like a two-door version of the Mercury Maurauder, or the current big S-class Mercedes two door, The kind of car that America used to build.

Even the Charger concept of recent years sported four doors, althought two doors were floating around the rumor mill...

I would like the opportunity to buy a powerful (505 cid V-10 would be just right) rear-wheel drive two-door hardtop as my next "family car"...

Hey Joe!

I just looked through the rear wheel spokes and it looks like somebody's already been toasting the paint on the rear calipers!

(STILL don't like the air extractor on the side though....)

The calipers have red lettering vs our white, and have lettering on both fronts AND backs.
