You can make a stand for virtually nothing. A couple pieces of 1/8" X 1" flat iron. Bend up accordingly so you can attach to your garage wall, wrap with a good cushion of weather stripping and that's it. There are some old threads on this, but this type of bracket has been working the last 8 years for me. There are also Home Depot, or similar, pre-made brackets that will do the same thing. This method takes up no floor room at all.

You can buy padded 1" diameter j hooks at Home Depot for about $5 a piece. I bought these and screwed them to the wall and my top sits right on the padding and the top of it leans against the wall works great!

I did the same thing, works great and doesn't take up any space.

City...Is that a 'real' hardtop stand (whatever that means, OEM I guess) or did you make that? :eater:

Some time ago, when I didn't want to pay over $450 for the Dodge rack, I found someone who was looking to make racks for us. This was their prototype. I don't think they ever made another.

This is solid steel and has to weigh over 30 lbs. (though I haven't lifted it recently and it's got wheels). I used it to store my factory GEN 2 hardtop and the soft top underneath (as you can see). The 2 "arms" at the top are removable and can be set out to the sides to easily move the top, or "forward" to hold the top in place. It's a perfect fit and the stand is virtually tip proof due to is weight, width and wheels.

Anyway, I saw the post and since I no longer us it (other than as a "bench" to hold my former hard top cover and car cover when I'm out driving) figured I'd see what someone might want to pay for it. Might only be worthwhile for someone local due to the shipping costs (even though it bolts together).

Ford made a nice hartop stand for the new t-bird. I don't know dealer price but it worked well and might be an option if available.
