Anyone have pics of Viper with 17\'\" Kumhos on it??

I want to know if they are the same width and diameter of the Pilots. Do they fit in the wheel well the same? I would love to see where the 3M tape goes on the front and rear to keep away the stone chips. I would also like to see the tread pattern with the front wheel turned out..I really need a set with my new Roe S/C but will not use them if they dont look right on the car...Thanks in advance...00PROWLER...

Yes, they do fit the same. The rears are the same diameter (26"), the front Pilots are 25.7" vs 25.5" for the Kumhos. The width's are within .1" of each other when comparing the same tire size across the two brands.

They look fine on the car... it's funny that you question their appearance versus their grip

As far as the 3M tape goes, just run them for a few hundred mile and put the tape where all the pock marks are.

3 spoke GenI wheels or CCW Wheels. let me know if interested.

Don't look right on the car????? They're tires man and the Same sizes, etc. As far as the tape, just touch up the lips of the rear fender, front lip of the side sill and a little further back on the side of the side sill.
Very strange and unique question.. And NO can't see what my gas looks like!

I know that sounds like a dumb question, but I sold tires for many years, and was very suprised how many of the same size tires varied in width and height from brand to brand. I had factory Goodyears on my old SS Monte, Bought a set of BFGs same size and they were an inch taller and a half inch narrower...00PROWLER...

They do look a little different up close. Where a Michelin kind of ballons out over the rim, a Kumho (v700) sidewall is straight up.....exposing the rim edge a lot. It does look a little weird.

Yes I notice that too. It isn't something that anyone would notice if they didn't see the difference side by side.

The width of the rims, and how big or small(275/285/315/335) is what determine if the tire hangs over, pulled in or straight up on the rim.

why do my 335/35/17 Kouhmos leave a little of the rim showing when the same size Pilots didn't?

Some tires have built-in "rim guards"... ie, a little bit of the rubber where it meets the rim sticks out a bit.
