Anyone near DAYTON, OH...?

Hey guys. Do any of you live in or very near Dayton, OH?? I found a '96 Viper GTS there that I am 99% buying, but before I fly all the way up there, I was going to see if anyone could drop by the dealership where it is located and check it out today or tomorrow (Saturday the 1st...short notice I know

.) The salesman doesn't know anything about Vipers and is trying to feed me the whole "oh this is a great car, go ahead and come up, I'll treat you right" typical used car salesman line. I live in Dayton! Actually Centerville, just south of Dayton. I wouldn't mind checking it out for you, but bear in mind I'm not an expert on what to look for. Give me a list of what I should look for. I'll be home this afternoon and later this evening and tomorrow.

I got ahold of Ken and he was very cool about checking the Viper out. He even did a little research last night on what to look for when buying a used Viper! He also is interested in buying a Viper in the near future, so this will give him his first test drive and inspection. Thanks Ken, and have fun!

Jeremy - I forgot to tell you the Viper had the stupid shift lockout removed so it drove like a normal car! That helped me alot in driving a manual transmissioned car for the first time in 4 years.

I want to thank you for guiding me to my first time ever driving a Viper. I am having severe Viper withdrawl this morning!

You are really getting a beautiful Viper. Even though the interior is very clean, you should find 2 dimes on ther floor from the previous owner between the driver's seat and the door.

I started a thread called something like "Drove A Viper for The 1st Time" and I will post some pictures there soon so you can see your Viper before it arrives where you live.
