Re: Anyone need a Stock \'02 Radiator, hoses, thermostat, or oil cooler+hoses?
Snake Bitten- I installed a set of Roe Racing hoses, a Ron Davis Racing radiator with the internal heat exchanger, an Accusump system+ ACR Adaptor & Pan Baffles, a 180 degree T-stat, and I switched to DexCool Coolant.
Overall, AWESOME setup. The accusump and ACR adaptor keep the Oil System free of hiccups, and the internal heat exchanger replaces the oil cooler. This also in turn gets the oil cooler out of the way of the condenser, and helps A/C efficiency. the Ron Davis rad is THREE TIMES the capacity of the stock setup, and is AL over Copper. AL transfers heat much better, and gets the "battery" effect out of the system. DexCool is...well, just plain BETTER. Roe Hoses make bleeding a Snap. On the highway with this setup, (and I havent even installed the 180 yet!) regaurdless of gear, (even second!) I sit at a rock solid 195 degrees, with or without A/C on, and I also picked up almost 10 PSI of Oil Pressure. Temps at Idle still sit where they normally do, due to the fan being computer controlled. I am looking into a way to get the fan to come on at 195, and off at 180, instead of comming on at 210, and off at 195.
