Anyone using a shift light? If so, how difficult was it to connect to the tach source? :usa:

The Raptor in Alternative's post works great. I had my Viper Tech install it so I am not sure how difficult it is to install.

Easy install, but confirming which is the correct wire takes a bit of detective work.

On the raptop, you don't hook up to the "tach" wire... you hook up to a coil wire @ the PCM... but once you figure this out, then you are fine.

here is a pic of the raptor light installed:

Why would the hookup on a ragtop be different than on a GTS??

The nice thing about the Raptor light is that you can adjust the rpm point right on the light. the second item is that there is no additional box to mount as with the other lights.

I have one that I ordered but haven't installed yet. Are you soldering the wire to the coil wire or are you splicing it in? If you are soldering it are you doing it at the connector or farther up the wire?
