No, I'll keep my Viper thanks. I just ran against a 2002 Z06 at the drag strip 3 times on Saturday. He was running with drag radials and I was on stock street tires. My times were not that spectacular, but I beat him 12.36 to his 13.18 the first time. 12.55 to his 12.66 the 2nd time. And he got me by a hair, 12.517 to my 12.556, the third time. Sorry if I let down the Viper nation on the third run. Only my third time to a drag strip and just before I left I ran off 3 runs in the 12.2's with the best being 12.25 @ 120.28. He was a pretty cool guy and we plan to run against each other again soon.

This guy had the manual transmission, and like Norman said, I think all the Z06's come only with a manual shifter since people buy the higher performing Vette probably would not want an auto.

yes it must be all the chemicals here that mess me up.the z is no slouch but i tire quick and im ready for a switch.no biggi/

Don't blame you one bit. As awesome as the Z06 is,...I'd rather
have a 93-95 stock RT/10 with plastic windows and no AC:
7-to-9 year-old car over the 2002.

rob you must be kidding.dont knock it till you drive it.its a pretty decent car,chevy or not.lol /plastic windows and no a.c? not for me.the people that speak negative about the z have had no seat time in one i guess.a little down on power but the car does not wander around on the highway and it stops when i want it to.i love them both and ive had several of both so im speaking from a been there done that.i like any car as long as its fast.
