So, I keep looking at this thing that sits in my garage, trying to figure out how to mount it without resorting to using those little brackets that supposed to mount to the underneath of the trunk lid... This thing is right down heavy, I think instead of relying on the brackets, I would much prefer to use double adhesive tape to eliminate the possible contact points with the tail lights, seems like easy to make this happen, considering the weight of the spoiler. Any thoughts?

Hi Bought mine from Steve at Autoform GP. His mounts on the side of the trunk, It's a good system. No holes in the exterior. It will not go anywhere., So when your driving 120mph, it's NOT going to come off. NO ON THE TAPE !!

Call Steve, he a great guy!

I am actually tempted to cut off the mounts for the brackets. I am concerned with side mounts only, assuming the lip actually works aerodynamically. I've been using tape for many years, never had any issues, including high speed driving.

That is what I have on my car and I have had no problems with it at all. I really like the way it mounts. It's been on my car for 7 years with no problems. It's been over 150 mph.
