Fast Freddy and KC, I see that both of you are located in Tucson.
I just bought my first RT10 and was curious if you guys know a local tuner I could contact?
I am interested in getting a VEC2 and a few bolt-ons. I am capable of doing the install myself, just want someone who is experienced with these cars to do the tune. (Phoenix/Tucson area)
Thanks, Ray.

Fat Albert is the only person I know of, but he is an AEM guy and my understanding is he only tunes engines he builds (he builds a stock size dry sump Viper engine with up to an 8k rpm redline that makes up to 800 hp).

Nice guy for a Canuck, but expensive. He does not have his own chassis dyno. He tunes his engines on an engine dyno.

as far as my motor work goes i towed my viper to cali and had www.westcoastviper.com work my engine. i am very pleased with their work and would recommend them. my brakes were done by daves viper shop in cali too (aka racecars on this site). i had lou bellanger in phoenix do my headers & exhaust system. fast eddie at bill luke dodge in phoenix did my suspension work and everything else i did myself.

I just bought my first Viper last month also! I saved for 30 years in my 401K to do it. And it was worth it! If any of you want to meet up for a trip, let me know.

2001Viper if you ever run into Jim Wilson from Chandler in his yellow supercharged GTS you HAVE to ask him his 401k/Viper story! Good Stuff.

I am doing a bunch of work to my car while it is hot so it is down, but when the weather breaks we will have to have you load up the buckboard and come in to town for a Pavilions night or something. The Pheonix Metro Viper guys are real nice.

Im there! And if you need help working on your Viper let me know. I may be in town next week and again around Aug 9. A few years ago I restored a 68 Vette and put in a 502 crate motor. It was fast, but it would catapult you on the bumps. Seatbelts were mandantory. Viper is a smoother ride and it corners like its on rails. And it runs cooler because theres more air flow. Wow I saved for 10 years and thought it was an eternity but I finally pulled the trigger this May. I would recommend a call to Fast Eddie at Luke Dodge. He was the Viper Tech for the previous owner of my car and it shows his care and expertise.

Actually, we just got through today tuning my VEC2 at Arizona Dyno Chip in Chandler. It was our first time messing with this system. I needed to make one call to Sean Roe and he got us off on the right ath in about 10 minutes. (Thanks Sean!) The owner of the shop, Keith, is a great guy and once Sean got us going, we were comfortable making fuel and timing changes on our own.

My car just got a 510 stroker motor. The engine originally had an AEM, but with emissions here, I went with the VEC2, instead.
