Seriously for just once I wish they would do it right the first time so we don't have to replace all of the damn body work to get the width we want.

Thank you! Seriously. That extra little width separates an exotic from that "supercar" look. The difference is huge.

I would have also liked for the regular Viper to have the width of the GTS-R. If that was the base version (style-wise), I would have crapped my pants with joy. But here's to hoping Jeff Lemke isn't too busy with his other project to start developing a killer wide body package for the Gen V.

The unloading video from the motor trend site does make me feel better about the look of the base version though.

Agreed. I sure hope Jeff is thinking about it.

Hey, Guys. Yeah, I've been thinking about it for months. I was able to see both the street car and race car quite a while ago (can't say how) and like the last generations, I liked the race car way better. There is a handful of things I'd do to make this as intimidating as I think it should be, but the race car always seems to have the right idea. Don't know why they simply don't do that for the street. Will I have the time? not right away as the Falcon is turning into a bigger hit than I originally thought (so excited about that). Because of the way I'm wired, my brain can't help but see the new Viper in a wilder skin, and if I can find the time I'll definitely do it. Also, thanks for the flattering post!

If I remember correctly, the race car is 6 inches wider than the street car; someone correct me if Im wrong. If they would have made the street car with the width of the race car, they would have sold out at the unveiling. Everyone loved that car.

Jeff, do you still think you will be making the Street Serpent for the Gen 3 in a couple years? I am saving my money!!!

I hope so. There are products I want to continue and a few more I want to bring to market.

My visions for the gen V change the car quite a bit and would be a major overhaul, including a new windshield and roofline.

Yes, it will. It will also depart a bit more from the Viper look and become it's own sort of identity. Not exact, but a tougher version of this fan (Ferrari)rendering:

Still, like I said, I'm very busy with my current project, so I have no idea when this might get started.

:omg::omg::omg: Deja' Vu...... :omg::omg:

:lmao:...... I'll bet I have those exact words in one of our old email conversations.

Regarding the '13 Viper..... Unless your work ethics have changed, and judging by my experience when you built my car, I have a feeling that you will find a way...

And that's when we will work together again....

Definitely one of the most dedicated car guys I have met....:2tu:

Congrats again on the success of your car. It's really come a long way from the drawings you showed me a couple years ago...

I just hope that in addition to your reimagined Gen V you still do a SS style Gen 5 with the GTS-R bodykit for the poor people who can't afford (or don't want) a new roofline and windshield.

That is the easier, more probable path.

OK. Well, I will be talking with you on here from time to time. Hopefully, I can do the Serpent in about 3 winters from now....

If they come out with an ACR and it looks just like the GTS-R with the same HP, they would have a winner in every respect :2tu:

Yeah but if time and money permit, building your brand as a car manufacturer, coach builder, and body kit maker could pan out. You have the falcon, then the trunk tops and SS kits, and then you could semi-coach build on the Viper platform to create your own interpretation...similar to Reeves Callaway (although he did motors also)
