I don't know about the squeaks and wind noise, but I saw one in person; if you like the way it looks in the pictures, you will really like the way it looks in person.

The Viper used by AutoForm to design the top and other accessories is my car, and the same one used in the advertisement.....It was one of the first Vipers available for them to use.....I really like the looks of the top and the entire package by the way....the wing has been very controversial, but it also makes the car....I have shown the car on many occasions and driven it several times(just turned 100 miles)so real world use I can't be of much help with....it does tend to squeak a little, but not much more than any other hardtop I have ever had experience with....the car has never been wet or above 40-50 mph....can't help you there either....it gets as much attention as a UFO when it is in public....and mine was the prototype, current offerings are probably even better.....it will sure set your SRT apart from all the others.....makes it look like a totally different car....

-yeah it looks pretty cool. Do you think installing the top has effected any part of the car if you were to return it to stock conditon to sell it? I keep thinking I will get rid of mine if a coupe comes out so I want to make the thing stock again if I have to trade it in or something

I have had the SRT-10 top from Autoform for about 4 months now and the install is easy, 1 guy with 16" or larger arms can do it ! The front of the roof attaches to the same connector as the stock convertible top and there are side latches that attach to the existing hardware where the convertible hinges are, install is a snap. Wind noise is about same as stock but different sources, exterior noise is less ie. you can talk on a cell phone and actually here the person you are talking to. In light rain no perceptable leaks.

I got mine from Jon B. at PartsRack, I'm sure he will cut you a deal on one.

I've had one on the SRT for about a month now and have had no problems with it at all. Good seal, no leaks and a great deal from JonB. :2tu:

How does it fit with a helmet on.? How much head room with & without helmet. Any problems with putting on & off? Ease of changing back to convertible? Pictures, have seen the pictures on Autoform site. Thanks Paul :usa:

Paul,

I have no problem in the car with a helmet on and it actually seems to have more headroom than the vert top does. It may just be imaginary but it sure feels like a little more clearance than stock. I really like it.
Pics when I get a chance.

CStegall,

Please send me the pics also. I thought you just got a new Silver Viper, is the top on it or is it on the red one?

SteveT,

Nope...no silver SRT here. Just the red one and the yellow '01. The top is on the red one and I will take some pics this weekend and post.

Clark,

I was confused, Skip White (also in Fort Worth) had posted that he now has a Silver.

Might have to see that hard top in person.

What was the "great deal" JonB hooked you guys up with? The guys out here want retail for the top, 4k, and then free install, so just curious what JonB is charging

I have the Autoform top and windows on my 96 RT/10, and it rattled so badly, I couldn't wait to get it off of the car.

Very poor result for a $3,750 item.
