Bat\'s Smoke Tails, Spring Caps and Tinted Windows(PICS)

Finally got some things done to my ride and it was such a beautiful day in San Diego, that I decided to take advantage and snaps some pics. I Installed Spring Caps from JohnB. Very subtle drop but I notice quite an improvement in the handling department . Windows tinted 20% in the rear, and 35% on the sides. My New Smoke Taillight Overlays for the 3rd gens(now available ). I went with my lighter 3/10 on the taillights themselves, and my darker 6/10 on the turn/reverse lamps. I really like the look! I'm going to do the rear sidemarkers and headlights next . Enjoy the pics .

Bat - looks cool. Did you tint the windshield as well?
Minimal tint on the windshield is legal here in NV...that's why I ask.

Nice picture demonstrating spring cap drop, you can see the difference, car look nice! tastefully done..

When I had the spring caps installed I thought, It didn't even lower the car one bit! It wasn't until I posted these pics that I realized that it is noticably lower with the caps! Very subtle, but noticable .

I've seen that it takes some time and hitting a few bumps for the springs to 'settle' after installing the caps. When I first dropped the car, I re-measured and the car was HIGHER than before!

lol. I think mine was as well. Seemed to settle nicely though.

Did you have to use a spring compression tool?

Did you have any trouble removing the shock bolts?

Didn't have to remove any bolts. I used the spring compressors. VERY DANGEROUS! Do not try this at home. There's a whole thread about this under 'has anyone tried spring lowering caps'

What I do is use tie-straps to hold the spring down after it has been compressed. heavy duty, and a whole bunch of them.

If that spring jumps off the compressor and your hand is in there changing the cap, you can kiss your hand goodbye...

Great job. Minor mods but they really look good on the color combo.
