battery trickle charger

I have a 2001 RT/10 and would like to know if I can use my CTEK trickle battery charger on the Viper? I am using the CTEK on my Vette by plugging the CTEK adapter into the cigarette lighter . Can I plug the adapter into the cigar lighter on the Viper or will it blow a fuse. I would appreciate your imput. Thanks.

I just started using my CTEK with the cigarette lighter option last week and am having zero issues.

I'm not familiar with that product but if its a true "trickle charger" it will send small amounts of energy to the battery continuously. This is OK in the short run (especially if your battery is down on juice) but for long storage periods (weeks/months) its better to use a Battery Tender.....which sends energy to the battery only when it needs it; therefore not over cooking the thing. Especially if you put the car up for many weeks, I'd recommend the Tender.

I'm using the cigarette lighter plug with a Battery Tender and it works fine.
