belt tensioner problem

how old is your belt, how many miles, did you miss a shift? what does the belt look like, any cracks visible in the v-grooves?
if the tensioner spring part is not 100 percent straight(not kocked at the round spring part where is functions)it is weak,will run ur belt not stright,also look on the tensioner pulley to see if u can find a old run pathe from the belt.

How has your belt shifted? Has it jumped over so it is no longer in its normal position on all of the pulleys, or just the tensioner?
Here's a possibility, although probably not your issue, it couldn't hurt to check: Make sure that your crankshaft harmonic balancer bolt is not loose.

belt has less then 1k on it. i was driving normal as in cruzing at 30mhp not getting on it at all.
this is on the roe
yes it jumped over torwards the fron of the car on all the pulleys. Ive had the balancer bolt get loose on me before but not this time.

I replaced my tensioner about three months ago.....just worn......my car is a 98 so it is ten years old plus i have the roe also....it is not that expensive of a part either!!!!
