Best 60\' Times with Stock Rearend??

Hey, guys,
Just wondering what the quickest 60' times are with the stock independent rear. I just read that SW is pulling down 1.4x's on his stock chassis C5. Any Vipers out there with similar power numbers to SW's Z07 getting 60's like that? Albert? John H.? Doug? Any input appreciated. Thanks.

Switch to drag radials and match a 1.4 with the stock IRS. The standard street tire will get you a consistent 2.0 Of course all this depends on conditions and your driving ability. Some do better.

Oh, yeah - SW's time was with slicks. Forgot to mention that

. I need street legal tires, though. Would a drag radial (like BFG) or M/T ET Street give you a better 60'? What would be the best drag tire that will remain street legal? Thanks.

1.45 last time at the track with et streets. I run a 345 gear.

Albert, what size M/T's do you run? Do you run skinnies up front then?

My bests so far is 1.59, but I'm still learning...Launch rpm about 1200, will test higher launch rpms next race.
That was with Drag Radials, Eibach springs and Koni SPA-1.

I forgot to tell that I was using the stock 3.07.

Wow, those are some impressive times, guys. I guess I hadn't paid that much attention to the Viper's 60' until I saw SW's time! John, you mentioned that Norm's Viper has lower gears. How much does that help with the 60' when you're dealing with engines as torquey as these? Also, which would be a better setup for a Viper running 150 or so in the quarter - 3.07's so that you can finish the quarter in fourth, or 3.54's/3.73's so you're running fifth by the end? I'm assuming a 1:1 fourth gear - hope that's right. What are the gear ratios in the Viper tranny? Thanks - sorry for all the questions

I forgot - one more question for Albert: Do those 16" rims fit over your brakes okay? Do you have stock brakes or did you have to go to aftermarket to get 16's to work okay? Thanks.
