What is the best/ easiest way to strap/secure a viper to an open trailer. The trailer has the securing track down both sides as well as four tie downs. Trailer has a wind screen? Do you use the T hooks for the rear frame or tire straps or axle straps? Thanks, Tim:omg:

I use straps. Combination of t-hooks to the front frame and 4" straps around the lower control arms in the rear.

I use special trailer ratchet type straps. They've R-hooks that go into holes in the trailer and tighten around the tyres, allows the car to move on it's suspension. Held the car on the trailer good, when a car got clipped by a lorry on the highway and shot out infront of the van at 50 mph! Don't want to be testing their strength again though!

I use 4 10,000 pound ratchet straps with r hooks connecting to the oval slots in the frame. In the front they go straight from the frame to the D Rings on the trailer. In the rear I cross them to the rear D Rings. If you're hauling long distance, check your straps after the first 50 miles, then every 100 miles thereafter, as they usually need a little tightening.

I have been trailering all sorts of cars for 20 years or so now, open trailers/enclosed trailers and the only straps I use now is the ones that fit between the spokes in the wheels.

Don't actualy use the spokes, wrap around the inside of the rim through the spokes and cross the wratchet. If you don't cross your lines I have found the car moves.

Also make sure you check your straps during every fuel stop, they do come loose don't think your straps are special.
