Best Gear Set for a Turbo Car.

So when i was in Houston at Tx2k11 i thought i broke my Tranny. Come to find out, i sheared off teeth on my Ring and Pinion. I had 3.55's in the car before. But i was thinking with a turbo car, they may be a tad much. It will be turbo by the end of summer and dont want to buy things twice. So input is appreciated.

Yes, I have also heard this several times. Go back to stock gears on any Turbo or SuperCharged car.

I use a 307 gear ratio in a Quaiffe diff. in my Turbo car.

You might consider the Quaiffe or Giken diff. if going TT.

Unfortunately, it looks like a complete loss. Sorry to see that...

Based on my experience, the money you will spend to get stock gears would be better spent toward a Quaiffe or Gilken diff.

For TT HP, I suggest a HARDENED-TREATED 3:07, thru an OSGiken...or a Quaife.

I will note also that my trasmission gears have been redone. No change in ratio in gears 1-4, but 5th & 6th are a tad bit lower. Also just as Jon mentioned hardened would be better for the long haul.

I'm trying to decide what to do with my gearing as well, I have 355 now on my DLM paxton and sometimes feel my gearing is just to short and I lose out on my power band
