I'm actively on the prowl for the new toy and the SRT10 is back at the top of my list. Among other things, sound is important to me as it directly enhances the driving experience as well as the presence of the car exudes. My GTS didn't have the best exhaust not stock. So I went with a muffler bypass and eliminated the resonators in the door sills. The local Viper guys in Dallas advised me that this setup would sound as good as aftermarket ones but cost a fraction of the cost.

So what are the best exhaust setups and secrets on the SRT10? Have any of you done a simple muffler delete?

Perhaps we can get some clips and also some general feedback/comparisons that characterize the exhausts such as:

Corsa - Loud deep sound but with some drone
Borla - higher pitch no drone
Belanger
etc.

Both sound nasty! But that Belanger set up has to be one of the best sounding Vipers I've heard. Not that I've heard many!
I'm assuming its the fact that it isn't just cat back but includes headers and high flo cats as well. What does such a setup cost?

You should hear it in person. Crazy! Every time I start it in any parking lot, heads turn. This past weekend, a loud ricer was making a ton of noise at a stop light (I was several cars back). Eventually, I snuck up to his left, a couple of miles past the stop light (he had his window open), and once I got off his rear fender, gave her a little gas. It was so loud, it scared him - he ****** his head, ducked, and then looked at me with his mouth open, as I passed him by. It was a pretty funny reaction.

Parts and labor for the whole set up was right around $4k for headers, hi flo cats, catback exhaust and K&N Hi Flo Snorkel.

With these mods, she finally sounds like she looks. :)

I just got my full Belanger kit put on my 08 and all I can say is wow. No video does it justice, I can only describe it as LOUD and beastly. Definately how the car should sound out of the box, turns heads, screams when on it, loud and deep, but then on the highway into 5th or 6th barely hear it which is nice.

Need to get my MOPAR ECU put on and see how that makes a difference too.

Does anyone have Belanger Headers, Roe Racing Hi-Flow Cats with Borla Catback?

I'm thinking about swapping out my Corsa for Borla with the listed headers and cats. Thanks!

Yes, but I'm lead to believe from the info posted on YouTube that he's using one of their bullet mufflers, and not the catback
