Finally got to it and finished header/exhaust system today.Have CDI headers.3" stainless from collector to corsa 3" cat back.NO cats.Apex syms.Car sounds great.LOUD.WHAT?YES LOUD!How loud?It is now louder inside the car with the windows up than it used to be with the windows down(GTS).So loud I stopped to check and see if then rear hatch was open.Maybe too loud for an RT.WHAT? Yes its loud but its a good loud.Reminds me of a performance boat at idle.Whails when you get on the gas.Pops when you lift. Can hear individual cylinders firing.WHAT?There were some install problems that I will attempt to describe in the performance section and some questions I have concerning heat transfer to the brake lines, starter etc.BTW when I started it up my wife shook her head and smiled matching my smile.Loud enough now she shouted? She was inside the ram at the time with the windows up and said it made the ram shake.WHAT?! Please scale back your WWF viewing (or WWE, whatever they are calling themselves these days)...Stone Cold Steve Austin is a fictional character, as is the whole spiel...

If you think the 3" Corsa with no cats is loud then you should try the Belanger exhaust, you don't know what loud is

Anyway if you do what to tone it down some (sounds like you don't) get some R/T cats from partsrack. They sound great & tone down the noise, have fun

Yep,Its time to play.Great weekend for it isn't it?Drove around in the rain a little today.Had to hear what it sounded like.I think this car invented the term hydro plane.Managed to test wet grip by getting sideways a little a couple of times rolling on the gas in 1st and 2nd. Bruce

Why don't one of you Buffalo area guys get friendly with a dyno shop and reserve some time. I could probably persuade a couple of Rochester owners to come over and get tested also. I don't know of any place around Rochester, this area is a real snoozer area for car shops.

I removed cats replaced with Borla sportsman mufflers (if you can call them that)These are stainless used on midget racers.
3" inlet .3" outlet, 3 1/2 inches diameter 14" long.
VERY DIStinctive loud sound (eliminated pop-back caused by no cats).

I'm assuming you mean R/T as compared to no cats right?

What's the volume diff between normal cats and R/T cats (if any)

I will publish a short Video of my GTS idling...
I will try "Dodge-Vipers.com", so you can hear the "boat" sound.

Installed Belanger headers, Random Tech Cats and 3" Corsa cat back last week. A W E S O M E.

This is the way the car should sound from the factory.

I believe that it is actually quieter inside the car at speed than stock (2000-2500 rpm resonance is gone).

Idle sounds like a dual engine cigarette boat.

Open the throttle up and holy ****, hide your women!

Forget about upgrading your stereo, upgrade your exhaust.
You will never play the radio again.

Right, I was saying if you want it quieter put on R/T cats. I ran the Corsa 3" for about 6 months w/o cats, then I put cats on for noise reduction. I have never used the stock cats on anything other than the stock exhaust, so I can't comment on them.
