Going to use them mostly for street, some track. "stock tires dont hook up well enough"
How do they handle? does anyone recommend these tires? do they corner as well as our stock tires? do they corner well at all? if anyone has tried these tires/or knows about them, please reply.
THANKS

I have autocrossed these tires for three years and have come to dislike them. Kumho victoracers do seem to be superior. The only snag is 315's for the rear, though they do better than the 335 g-forces. Beware of the rain on any of these DOT approved competition tires, they do not channel water very well.

We call them G-farces. They have a higher profile than Hoosiers which really changes the balance of your car at the limit and don't last as long. I used up a set over 3 days of medium track use on two road courses. The older R-1 335 tire (TD, TK?) was terriffic, more predictable and better wear, a true drive it to the track and back tire. Much better puncture resistance and you don't have to call the race division when ordering. 315 is still a lot of meat in the back, Sean's '96 with a 300 shot of nitrous blew into the 10's with a set on it at the Viper Vette shootout a couple of months back. They do stick better than stock but I won't be buying the G-Force again, I'll stick to Hoosiers. P-Zeros have been used as a stickier street tire with a smoother ride.

The g-Force R1 is/was a pretty weak tire, performance-wise. It's a shame they decided to dump the Comp T/A R1, which ended up to be a pretty great tire (except for the dreaded "Groove of Doom" that some people experienced). The g-Force R1 began life as a pathetic race tire that _everyone_ complained about--not sticky, bad wear, not communicative, etc. The last and final iteration of the tire, with its fiberglass belts, was the best of the worst. It was lightweight and much better than the original g-Force R1. BFG has given it the axe, though, because of very poor reception by club racers and professional racers alike.
They're a good/cheap way to get into race tires, although since they've been discontinued, finding them may be hard, especially in Viper sizes.
Kumho V700 Victoracers are the best bang for the buck, but the biggest they come is 315/35/17. I use them on my '93 Cobra, and they're predictable and extremely durable, if a bit heavy.
