My new (to me) GTS was born on the 12th minute of the 12th day of the 12th month( the MDH is 121212) of 1997. If that is so...why is it a 1997 model instead of a 1998??? What month were the MY 1998?

MDH is Month, Day, Hour (I'm not sure where you got minute from). You car was born at 12 noon on December 12th. Happy birthday to your Viper!

Years ago the model year for Vipers were Jan to December. Now they have aligned with the rest of the industry were a year 2007 model might start building in July of 2006.

Right on.... If I remember correctly, they got completely "aligned" beginning the 2003 model year... but, this year, with the coupe, 2006's were made a little later in the year.

So ..with a MDH of 12 12 12 1997 my car was a VERY late 1997...almost a 1998...but with NONE of the 98 mods...hmmm sounds like mine was one of the last 12 built ...during the holidays...I hope not too much eggnog
