Black exhaust shield - redux

The thread asking about the black rectangular exhaust shield seems to be broken, including the reply by Steve F saying that he was fairly sure it was final, but would double check that. I can't get below the third post in the original thread and was wondering if Steve or anyone had any more encouraging information. I really hope they either eliminate the black rectangle and just go back to the body color, go with an aluminum oval shield that just surrounds the opening and accents it, or at the very least change it to an oval black area that could look like a larger exhaust opening at first glance.

I would like the black exhaust shield addressed further also.

I like and agree with your suggestions all of which seem better
than the black angular shield, I would rather clean the carbon off of the body panel and have the original SRT oval stainless or aluminum opening.

I made the call, but have yet to get you a direct answer. Again, I am under the impression that the black is in.
