greetings,

I finally installed borla cat back (2 muffler version) and Sean Roe high flow round cats yesterday. The hardest part was getting the car on the lift. Per Sean's advice I used the band clamps to secure the cats onto the header pipe. The fitment was decent but I am getting some exhaust leak at the top (near the headers). Rather than welding on the cats, could I wrap that area with some exhaust tape?

Overall I am satisfied with the fitment/finish. The tip is nothing to brag about but the sound is good. I will post some picts later.

Thanks

i used the plaster type tape and it seems to be holding on ok however the bolts on the band clamps came loose in less than a day! Used some threadlock. If this fails, I will resort to welding...

sbkim,

Are you getting any drone w/ the 2 muffler system? I take it that there is no cross over pipe. Also, is the 2 muffler (vs. four) still available or did you get one of the last ones?

rcdice - i got the 4 muffler system and the drone is still there. I presum less than the 2 muffler system. Looking back, I wish I had gotten the 2 muffler system. Even with the high flow cats, it's just not loud enough :) As a comparison, the 4 muffler borla is noticeably louder and deeper sounding than the muffler delete setup (i.e snake oyl).
