Hey Guys ,

My name is Jason and I'm completely new to the Viper world. I would like to start this thread out by describing the painful years of waiting, riding with friends in their Vipers and countless hours of research on the particular GEN I wanted or the color and price, but you guys already know this story. I finally bought my dream car last week and I'm so proud to say that I'm a Viper owner now. My wife woke up in the middle of the night only to find me out in the garage with the hood up and talking to it LOL :headbang: I live in the DFW area and looking forward to bringing my son to events like cars and coffee or North Central Texas VCA gatherings. I understand I don't know everything about these snakes and will be seeking opinions to broaden my knowledge and for that I want to thank you all in advance. 2006 BLACK COUPE 12,500 miles

Very nice car. Just do not forget who wears the trousers in your family and stop sneaking out at night to spend quality car with your mistress:nono:

Viper ownership - where dreams become reality! Nice looking car. Can't go wrong with black. Its perfect the way it is now, but it would certainly look more sinister lowered with some aftermarket wheels.

Congrats - going to get a custom license plate by chance?

Congrats!

There's really not much to know about Vipers...gas pedal is on the right. Apply liberally.

Nice ride. Two thumbs up! First mod...lower it. JMO. Only advice I have is get used to the power gradually...remember these cars bite back.

Congrats! First set of upgrade IMO is a good set of tires if the current set are even a bit old. I'm loving the Super Sports!

Welcome. As the owner of a 2003 Black 'Vert, you have great taste in cars. Agree about the tires. When I swapped the originals to PS2s (which are now bettered by Super Sports) it was like a different car.

Enjoy, but BE CAREFUL. Even at 59 degrees, the rear end can get away from you.

Thanks 2easy ... I already found out they bite back. Came out parking lot of On The Border the other night and got a little too excited with the pedal. It went East and West on me quick but I was able to get it under control.

Congrats! First set of upgrade IMO is a good set of tires if the current set are even a bit old. I'm loving the Super Sports!

Thanks ACRucrazy. Very good advice on the tires. I'll be looking into a new set soon. Where do you suggest I can get the best price on some Super Sports?

Sweet ride. Love the coupes. Congrats on the purchase.

Thanks Elohim1

Welcome!

Black coupes look killer with some aftermarket wheels, as evidenced by this customer car...

Welcome from Plano! Congrats on the purchase. Black is so easy to keep clean:) Just kidding-love it.

"Ease" into it......no traction control! Moderation is your friend.
