Just bought some Eibachs for my '06 coupe. Can any speedshop handle the install? The only places I know around L.A. are GM or Ford shops. Is it a straight forward install or should I take it to shop familiar with Vipers? And if so, does anybody know of one around L.A.?

My car is on the way to DC Performance as we speak so you will have to wait in line buddy :D Just kidding. Lets just say I live in CO and getting my car shipped to get those along with other goodies installed. You cant go wrong. Give Dan a call at 310-841-6996. You are so lucky to be right there.

If I have to wait in line then I'll have to rub in the fact that they're only 17 miles away from me. :D

Thanks for the info, I'm new to the Viper thing.

But back to my point, DC Performance is a no brainer. It would already be there as if I was there in LA

Its all good my car wont be there till hopefully by Friday. I cant wait, I have been looking forward to this. Even if you had to wait in line, which that job should be easy for them and they have very competitive prices, I would wait just knowing the quality of service you will be getting from them here you go DC Performance: Proven Performance

From the looks of their website they're top-notch.

What are you getting done?

-MGW Race Knob
-SRT-10 Shifter Bezel
-NGK Spark Plugs 1 step colder for Nitrous
-Motor Oil and Viper Race Filter
-2008 Carbon Fiber Hood with Vents
-170 Thermostat
-UnderDrive Crankshaft Pulley Kit w/Belt
-Green Filters
-Extra 10lb Nitrous bottle, remote bottle openers and bottle warmers, which will give me two 10lb bottles. I was running out too fast with just one ;)

If you like to wrench on your Viper - changing the springs is a very straight forward procedure. You must have the right tools though - and the one required for this job is a hydraulic spring compressor. Around $100 from harbor freight or the like. Dont even bother trying with one of those bolt/hook cheapo compressors. There are a number of posts on how to do it with the biggest tip being for the rear shocks where there is a big 4" rubber access plug that allows you to remove the rear shock without taking off anything else.

Let's see some pics! BTW - it will be interesting to see if you're happy with the look and ride after lowering with just the springs. I choose motons not only to lower, but to improve ride quality and reduce wheel hop.

I've read that it's not a difficult install. But I don't have the tools or patience to pull it off, although I'm sure it would be pretty gratifying.

I've also read about the advantages of the Motons. But I've never really owned a car for more than a couple years, and as much as I enjoy the Viper I don't think it'll be any different. So although the Motons are probably amazing, spending that kind of scratch doesn't sound too appealing.
