I ordered a Caliper Rebuild Package. I already have the titanium pistons. I am changing seals & dust shields. I thought that the kit would include all 4 calipers. Well it didn't. Only included the fronts. I have the rears taken apart. When i called 2 tuners that sell brake packages I was told that i am in uncharted waters (taking the rears apart).
Now my question, can the rears be put back together or are they throw aways? (this the the stock rear calipers). If i do not throw them away does anyone know the part number for the seals & dust shields? Can anyone tell me how to put these back together?
Or does anyone have a set of Used rear calipers for sale?

Seems to me that STOCK rear calipers are"not serviceable"...'99 service manual shows rebuild procedoue for FRONT calipers and for rear caliper BUSHINGS, then on page 5-71 it says..."If a leak or other malfunction is noticed during the inspection of the rear disc brake caliper the caliper will require replacement. The rear disc brake calipers are not serviceable and must be replaced when inspection indicates this is necessary".

Hope this helps.

Rear caliper rebuilds are very tricky business; I strongly suggest getting takeoffs if they are reasonable. There is an internal snap ring that must be seated blindly when assembling all of the internal parts that comprise the e-brake mechanism. It must have taken me 3 hours to do the first one. Maybe JonB has some pointers on rebuilding rears, but IMO it is just plain difficult!

Frank, I am truly puzzled here! HELLO!?

PartsRack carries front and rear dust boot kits, as well as piston rebuild kits. [ Dont get me started about the questionable worth of Ti pistons and where the heat goes instead....]

We also have rear take-off calipers at VERY reasonable prices.
