Yeah, EBCs will wear quicker and fronts will wear quicker, but I was wondering how many K miles on average a set of fronts and rears of stock and EBCs will last? I've heard EBCs have about 70% of the wear life of stock, but what is that (for normal driving, not track)? Also, what is the life ratio between front and rears?

Considering that most Viper owners put less than 5,000 miles per year on their cars, and assuming that the EBC pads, under normal driving conditions ought to be good for 20,000 miles (mine have 13K and have lots of pad left), that means that EBC pads should last at least four years.

I have 26K miles on the stock front pads and they are scraping, backs look like new (street use only) Just ordered a set of greens (front & back) from JonB

Due to so many 'driver variables' this is VERY tough to pinpoint.

The 'recently reformulated' EBC greens have much better endurance than pre-July EBC greens.

In relative terms, Greens last 70% as long as stock.

Unless tracked! Then, they last 5% of stock on the fronts, and 25% of stock life on the rear. Greens just dont have temperature endurance for roadcourse work.

Since the COST is only 35% of OE, the $ / mile are great !
Braking GOOD at street temps / drag temps / Auto-X temps.

my EBC greens definitely stop better than my old OEM pads, but more importantly they resist fading at high speeds and frequent use 10x better..

but, i dont have a viper, but my car weighs in at about 3500 pounds...

What's the expected front and rear (which I'm sure differ) brake pad life for stock and EBC Green pads?

Thanks for all the responses. Obviously the figures will vary by driver, etc., however it seems that a good rule of thumb is 20k miles for stock front pads that are not tracked, so 70% of that would be 14k miles for EBC front pads. (BTW, I got EBC fronts from JonB, and have found them to work great - for braking, and no squeaking and little brake dust.) While the viper braking division is ~ 90% front / 10% rear, I doubt that you'd get ~9x the distance out of them (180k miles for stock rear pads, I doubt it!).
