broke 3 rear wheel studs?

I take 1 trip drag racing, and broke 3 rear wheel studs....has this happened to anyone else?

Are these prone to breaking?

I read some old posts and they seem like an easy repair.

Are there any aftermarket upgrades?

broke quite a few on my 98GTS. Had Chuck replace all of them....

A while back there was a discussion about Ti studs and lugs. Dunno whatever came from it.

Wow! I've never heard of this. I've been to the track with my 96 GTS for 8 years with no problems and it does 1.37 sixties. I used the stock lug nuts on old Purner wheels. Are you guys using shank/sleeve type lugs?
