Broken Soft Top Warrenty????

My soft top appears to have never been on the car.(01 RT/10 4000 miles) I pulled it out to put it together and when I opened the bag and took it out one of the side arms were broken loose from the frame. I took it to my local Dodge Dealership to have them get me a new one under warranty. They tried to tell me that it may not be covered and had to call a Dodge rep to come out and make the decision if warranty will cover it or not. It is a pain in the a$$ to have a dealership that tries not to help you and make things difficult. My question is.... If this rep does not want to replace my top what recourse can I take to get this taken care of. My fear is that if this rep turns the claim down then I will not be able to take it to another Dodge Dealership and have it replaced there. The what will I do??? Any advice would be a help.

I think that would certainly be under warranty...find another dealer.

Got mine replaced under warranty - go to a different (Viper-friendly) dealer who won't give you the run-around.
