That is an impossible question to answer. What kind of Viper did you get while you were still in high school?

Well, lets see. . .

There were about 20 in our class last week. The instructor pictured below gave rides to about 75% of the class, except for the last two. The last two didn't get a ride because the left rear tread seperated pretty seriously from the rest of the tire.

But to qualify the "ride," there was some major two-foot driving, sliping the brakes and standing on the gas, going on. The result were these hellacious 2-300 foot smokey burn-outs, as well as some major sideways slipping around every corner of the autocross course.

So I'll say 13 -- you can get 13 smokey-burnout-rear-end-hanging-out-at-every-corner trips out of a set of (very well used) Pilot Sports.

Go to a tire store (or any older car guy), and have them show you how to check tread depth. I could explain, but I think a visual would be more educational. Tires wear out faster due to incorrect air pressure (should be 29 PSI on all 4 tires - check monthly - tires cold), or bad alignment.

Here's your list:

1.) Have someone show you how to check tire depth and overall condition of tire.

2.) Check air pressure once a month.

My .02.

Tires must be replaced when tread has worn down to 1/16 of an inch. Quick tip: If you don’t have a measurement device handy, you can simply use a penny to check tread depth. Insert a penny with the head pointed down into the tread groove. If you can see all of Lincoln’s head, your tires need to be replaced

HA you got what it takes to be on this board lol.

Hey Motor, SERIOUSLY though. PLEASE be careful with that beast. The LAST thing I want to do is one day come to this board and see a post about a Viper in an accident and it is you.

See if your parents will spring for a driving school. Look at the post up above you get to do that fun stuff.
