Hello all,

I've been lurking for awhile now, and with all I've read and put to use, I haven't been able to find a car. You guys are the utmost authorities and some have even done some long distance inspections for me, which I greatly appreciate. Here's the deal.....Viper prices are all over the place.
Dealers are way out of tune with their pricing, if you find a good price, the things probably got history. Ebay is ludacris with their fake bidding, non-paying bidders, and everything else under the sun.

All I am looking for is a clean carfax.
Unpainted, non-accident car.
A zaino fanatic would probably be my best friend.
Lower mileage, under 20K, with no or very little mods.
A non-track car. Decent tires.

Year would probably be 96-98.....Has to be a GTS.
Color is not an issue.....Resale is, and anything effecting it.

BUDGET is 39-44K.........

BIG QUESTION.....AM I nuts?
I you want to sell your car, with little or NO BS. Shoot me an
email. Thanks. Joe

I think you price range is a little low. Especially if you are going to go through the classifieds here. Safer I think but a little higher priced.

As far as Ebay, you wont have to worry about a nonpaying bidder since you are the buyer. I don't know how you have info about fake bidders.
Just bid what you are willing to pay. If you lose don't worry because you didn't want to pay more. If you win it is all good.

I and a couple others here have bought off of Ebay. Of course as with buying ANY car you need to do your homework.

It seems 97s with a salvage title actually is close to your price range in the classifieds here.

Joe...
You are not "Ready to Buy" until you are ready to pay the price. Untill then you are still "Looking for GTS".
Every one wants a great condition car for the price of a storied car.
Price/Quality/No BS. You get to pick any two, but not all three.
Step up to the place, and get a great car. You will never be sorry.

Plus I might add that sometimes a few extra thousand dollars will get you a low mi car with warranty vs savings a few bucks and getting a high miler.

A first class used 96-98 GTS will still cost you in the 47-49K range and even more if you want one that comes with a freshly purchased extended warranty.

44k can get you a GTS but do you want a 44k GTS? For a few K more you can get a <10k mile car that is a one owner etc. I bought a 9/10 car because I knew I would treat it as such. If you plan to track the car or drive a lot of miles a mid 40k car would be right for you. If it is going to be your "baby" you should start with a really nice example. If my car had multiple flaws it would bug me to no end. I paid a bit more and I believe I got my moneys worth.
