Cal-Chrome Gen II 5 spokes

I'm partial to the stock wheels on my '98, however after 13 years they were looking a little tired so I sent them to Cal Chrom in mid January. Just got the final pics back...sorry I didn't do any before/after shots. This was just their standard chrome service (they also have a service where they polish the inner barrels and can also do black chrome and paint accents) I'll post up some pics with them back on the car in the next few days. For those of you considering Cal-Chrome, I will say they were good to deal with an kept in contact with me throughout the process.

WOW they look great. I had my wheels chromed there through DC performance and loved them. All you need to do is clean them with soap and water, dry with a terry cloth towel and wipe with some windex.

When I called about having another set of wheels done, I was told 1 piece wheels are $75 each (plus shipping to and from CalChrome).

I also have this style wheel in chrome. LOVE them! Super shiny and very low maintenance to keep clean.

Anyone had their late Gen II wheels chromed at Cal Chrome?

Also, did you ship wheels/tires or just wheels to them? I'm guessing shipping is a big chunk of the expense.

Bird 325: total cost was $1340. Broken down that is 250 each way to ship (will cheaper for you, I'm shipping them literally from one coast to the other). $150 per wheel for the chrome, $35 per center cap. $25/wheel to take off/put back on/balance tires.

CEJ: yes you can ship wheels with tires or just wheels. That additional $100 is what they charged to take off the tires and then remount/balance. I chose that route just because it was more convenient for me.

Wheels look great! I'm gonna have mine done next year, but I'm going with black chrome.
