Just checking to see what tuners will have cars going out to the VoI 7 Drags. There has been a lot of great dyno numbers this past year, but as we all know that doesn't mean crap. This is going to be the greatest event to date. Dodge is going to sponsor this, plus I hear alot of venders will be there. It would be real nice to see all the local trash talkers here on the board to get out there and bring it! It will be all in good fun, but I'm sure it will hurt some peoples feelings also. Hope to see you guys there, start getting ready for your excuses on why your so slow LOL, but please show up.

Albert -- I'll be at least spectating at the drags, and if the fates smile, I may be bringing along a "SOO SLOW" RT/10

Ben, I hope to see you there. I hope to see some DLM cars there. Doug is one tuner that we have alot of respect for. It will be a great time. But we really want everyone to attend.

Albert -- I'm 90% sure you'll see at least some of Doug's Level I customers there for the drags. Whether they can pose a challenge to your times is debatable (they're "only" about 700 RWHP) but it'll certainly make for fun racing. I know Doug would like to have my car ready for the drags, and if it is we'll be racing it. However, with any research-type project the end time is indeterminate, so don't be surprised if you're left picking on the small fry

One thing is certain -- if I can field my "Big One" and we go head-to-head, I'll shed my benign board persona for a day and there will be some trash talking

Well, I can't drive for s**t, but I plan on being there. And racing!

Haven't signed up for the drags yet, but am going to this week.

Both SW and Tom will be driving a Stock Viper. They will also be driving the same car and racing the best of of three.

THIS IS GOING TO BE ON!!

PartsRack sent a nice check to help sponsor the event, but I will be driving a rental Intrepid unless Janni and Henry get wildly generous again !!

We should be there with a car or two(even though I haven't registered yet)

As for the gig with SW, I'm looking forward to the fun but as for any bets, thats between those who made the bet. I am just the driver.

Everyone travel safe and we will see you then.

P.S. As we did at the last VOI, we will have our trailer at the track and can assist anyone with questions or problems with their Vipers(to the extent of our ability and resources of course..we will not have spare engines, drivetrains and the such). So come on over CAPS NORM, you are welcome to my wheels and tires....LOL.

Good post Tom. While there will probably be a lot of teasing and smack in the days to come, guys like Tom and the other tuners who will be helping us co-sponsor the event always bring more than they ever take away. Real car guys like this get a huge amount of satisfaction from helping others to drive smarter, better, and faster. I've heard nothing but good reviews about Tom's instructional video.

Also, what Tom and the other tuners may not have with them as far as repair parts, the VCA is trying to arrange and handle through the help of some great people at PVO. At the present time we're anticipating having a nice little stash of things like half-shafts, trannies, diffs and other such items available so people don't have to worry quite so much about losing any time at the rest of VOI.
