Can anyone comment on the Roe radiator ducting kit?

Getting ready to upgrade my cooling system so I can take on the summer desert heat. Have heard one good comment before about the Sean Roe air deflector kit that supposedly helps air make it through the radiator other than spill off. Can anyone make comments about the quality, install and/or effect?

Also, what temp does your Gen II run at with a 180 degree thermostat in cool conditions? Right at 180? Or a bit higher? I'm trying to figure out if my car maybe already has a 180 degree thermostat in it (it runs 190 on the guage in cool conditions).

While I didn't buy the kit from Sean, I shamelessly copied it and made one myself. Engineering-wise, it is fundamentally the correct, clever, efficient thing to do.
Look under the front of a Dodge Intrepid (mine is a '97) to see what it entails- a large rectangular hole in the fascia, underneath where you cannot see it (but where a Viper would scrape the ground.) The "ducting" leads air that would build up under the car up to the radiator, so besides providing high pressure air to the radiator, it reduces the front end lift of the car. I have a newer fan (due to an unrelated issue) but nothing else special in the cooling system and have run track days in the summer without any concern of overheating. I have the OEM thermostat, my radiator is usually blocked by a Porsche or Corvette because we can't pass until the straight, and the temperature seems to settle at 220F. No post-lapping puking, either.

I live in Mesa and had it on my Roe supercharged car and my car would run at 180 or lower on the highway all year around but it or the thermostat did not make any difference in trafic. In trafic it was the same temp because it did not change when the cooling fan kicked on.

It solves the uplift problem at speed - a very welcome feeling. At highway speeds and above the temperature is to the left of the first hash mark on the left. The kit also includes additional coverage underneath the vehicle.I think that it is a bargain. I also put in a 172 degree thermostat. The vehicle runs noticeably cooler in stop and go traffic. Lastly, if you have not already wrapped the exhaust, do this too. It helps alot with keeping the passenger compartment cooler. JMTC.

I have had mine for more than 2 years. Works great in the Florida heat. Doesn't do much at slow speeds or in traffic, but once you get moving it will drop the temp fast. With a 180 cst thermostat car runs 178-185 on the highway, 190-200 F in stop and go. I think it is well worth the money, should have come that way from the factory.

The fluidyne radiator Sean sells is awesome,stays 180,moves up in traffic untill the fan kicks in.
Maybe we can catch up in may,interested in the Silver state?We've already got a wild group.
