Man, am I having one of those weekends. So I installed a 170 thermostat & my DC tune, did a test ride & now can't find my keys. I put the tuner in the trunk in case I ever had a problem and need to use to down grade to 91 octane tune or whatever .. so wondering if I could've dropped my keys in the trunk. Is there any way in there without my keys??

Geeesh.

I have an 08 and have never used the key. I use the trunk release button just above the license plate.

Enjoyed speaking with you, Dman. Glad it worked...as I HATE to have a Viper down!!

We both owe Tom Sessions as he's the one who passed the "trick" to me!!

Have a fun and safe day tomorrow!!!

Gotta love this viper community ... post up for help, and in minutes a wizard is on the phone with me sharing the magic from another wizard & walking me thru wiring diagrams & service manuals.

Just amazing ... I'm not sure what's cooler - the car or the community (well the car I guess, but the community is a very close second, lol)

I'm assuming you have a coupe, otherwise that would be one very very very tiny child. LoL

Trick is very confidential for security reasons.

BTW guys I ran in the 11.7-11.8's today, couldn't get my 60' times under 1.95, track was pretty slick outta the hole, but better than waiting around til Monday to call in another set of keys from the dealer.

What rpm do you launch at? Technique?

I never been out with a well prepped track yet, so I just come off idle. Smooth to about 3/4 throttle with a little feathering til 2nd, hit 2nd smooth, and for 3rd I go for it, I've only had 3rd spin bad a few times, usually just a little modulation and 3rd is easy to handle. Although I did lose to a C6Z06 once when I had him til I hit 3rd and went up in smoke and he eeked by me ... he had on another set of rear tires with a racing tire, not fair. LoL

I do an abbreviated burnout on he wet cement, not into the puddles, as soon as I get smoke rolling I let off the brake and do 2 dry hops, then into the lights. 60' times aren't anything to write home about, I'm seeing 1.88 at best, 2.1 at worst. I'm hoping to get out to MIR which is much better prepped and get some new best times.

Thx! Same burn out when you had run caps?
A little more, the runcraps got greasey to me, the PS2s get sticky, so runflats I'd do a rolling burnout, pretty mild & dry hops, the PS2s I did a clutch drop, on the brake, sit for a couple seconds til I got smokey going then roll out. Couple of dry hops & go.
