Can I use 305/30/18 size front tires for racing ?

I am looking for a set of front race tires to match my rear Khumo v700 tires.

Khumo V700 is only available in the 305/30/18 size for the front.
Is this a bad choice ?

I need tires which can run on wet road.
Hoosiers whould be great choice but under rain they are useless.

What other tires should I consider ?

305 is a good choice. Run them.

305's will throw a bunch of debris onto the paint and sandblast your car. Use the 3M clear tape to protect that side panel.
