In the process of building my own canards which will be bigger than the OEM ACR stuff and curious if there are any problems with car cover fitting with canards in place. Is there a plan b? Thinking about generic oversized cover right now since the OEM cover does not fit even now, with APR air dam on the car.

The standard covers built for the ACR will work, but the standard SRT covers fit very tight to the body already. If you but a Lycra based cover you will have more leeway though.

The APR so called air dam sticks out considerably more than ACR splitter, how tight is the fit at the bottom? My diveplane will stick out as much as the air dam (I think this is how they should be designed). I am not sure about the rear, I think ACR cover accounts for a wing and I am building a rear spoiler duck tail style, kind of like autoform (I think?). Agreed the OEM SRT cover fits really tight, most likely not usable in my case any longer. With lycra cover, I am concerned with paint being rubbed off over time on leading edges (had this happened in the past). Maybe a Cadillac sized generic cover would work? LOL

The Lycra cover I have is extremely soft on the inside, it is not an outdoors cover. With APR you will probably need to do a custom cover California custom car covers can do this if you provide the needed measurements.

That sounds painfully expensive but it may be the only route since it seems ACR cover would not work. My car sits indoors, never covered outside but it seems like a real dust magnet.

I'm able to pull my cover over the tow hook and canards but its a very tight fit. I stop just above the ACR splitter.

APR piece sticks out more and it always collects dust, lots of it. I am pretty sure my canards will render any OEM cover worthless, LOL.
