Cant decide on a rt/10 or srt/10, what\'s more of a crowd pleaser

I usually by cars for the WOW look at that car, value. I have a chance at rt/10 and srt/10 both for great prices. The price however in not my main concern. I want people to drop thier jaws. I like the new Viper gen3's but they dont seem to have that in your face look. They sorta seem more like people would say "I have never seen this car before, what is it?" compared to gen 2's "Look there's a Viper!" The rt/10 is a 2002. I am wondering what a 2003 has over it as far as goodies. I know it has more H.P. and it;s a true covertible. But is the engine built better? is the frame made with something better. Is the body made out of something great. if you had a opportunity for either car with out looking at cost, what would you pick and why?

The gen 3 car is a better car for every day driving than gen 1/2 but the gen 3 is miss taken for a vett by many people.

You'll probably get a WOW out of both. If I had a guess, though, the RT/10 gets the longer stare and admiration.

RT/10 will drop jaws...


I'll give you a sample from yesterday.
- First to Circuit City to buy a new MP3 player for Viper. While the car was getting a new stereo, the guys were tracking me in the store and asked if they could take pictures of it with them. I saw at least 5 guys sitting in it and all had thumbs up in the pictures, or a victory sign. They all loved it.
-After that I drove from Lancaster, PA to Annapolis, MD, about 110 miles one direction. I filled gas at Sunoco and got the local gas attendant out of the building to see the car, as well as couple Harley dudes.
- Traffic was at standstill on I-95, so I got more thumbs up from little kids in a minivan as well as some "suggestions" from couple of young ladies. Anyway I had to go...
- At the Annapolis Mall parking lot, a family with 5 year old kid approached the car and asked if it was a Viper? I asked if their son would like to sit in it and he did. They were happy and the sons smile was something else, try to wipe that off his face! One more teenage couple came to see the car and asked how much HP it had.
- On my way to home a biker was showing his keys to me on higway and yelling if I wanted to trade? Not today...
- On tollbooth in Annapolis the attendant was screaming from other lane to burn rubber..

Get the idea????
RT/10 is the way to go, nothing like it on sunny days. If you prefer a better ride and want to mix in crowd, get a SRT-10.

if money is not a concern buy a McLaren F1 lots of WOW factor and the chances of running into another one are greatly diminished. If it's going to be a Viper the SRT is much easier to live w/ and will out perform almost all but a highly modified gen I & II cars in almost all repects. The SRT also does get many looks, thumbs ups, honks and even a flash of some ******* every now and again.

I have to agree. My RT/10 with stripes on it gets honks and kids waiving from the mini-van window. Not a few miles go by without some sort of pointing, staring or flashing of the high beams.

My SRT gets some nods from the golf club crowd and has been mistaken for (dare I say) a Ferrari more than a Vette.

Each car is very different and equally fantastic. However, if you are out to drop jaws, go RT/10.

Chrysler went after the Suits and women drivers with the SRT10 cause that's where the money is. I'd pass on the S2000 on steroids and stick with the Viper.

Watch out for the early SRT/10's they had some engine issues. DC made good on the fix though through warranty.

BOTTOM LINE; RT10 WILL SMACK THE SRT10 FOR THE MASSES AS FAR AS A CROWD PLEASER

I love ALL Vipers, but the SRT10 doesn't have the atttention grabbing appeal as the RT10 or GTS. Nothing against the Gen3 cars they are great cars but remember, they do not make Gen1 or Gen2 Vipers any more. RT10 all the way.

I would tell you to buy a GTS and put a Big Blower set up on it and you will get all the WOW you need when you lift the hood!


But since it's clear you are a POSER, you would probably destroy the Car the first time you hit the GO pedal!!

Figure out what makes you WOW the most, and buy it!

Please I think everyone that owns such a car is a poser in some respects. Judge me if you like. Do you think I care. Yeah I am out to destroy the car. Do you think I am some little rich teenager or a 32 year old man that appreciates the value of such a fine machine? It's the second choice if you were guessing. Why are some of the member on this group such huge Di*ks?

Personally in my opinion my ideal Viper has always been the RT/10. Thats what drew me to the Viper the first time I saw one and its weird.. I could meet a celeb and I won't give out the same expression that I would to the Viper.. when I see a Viper I get very excited as if I just saw some famous celeb.

The SRT/10 that came out doesn't really give me that "wow" effect like the RT/10.. in a sense I'm abit disapointed in how they gave the look. It just doesn't have that feeling like I get from the older models. Hope this helps with your decision making, djemcee.

RT/10 will do the job...preferably a white one with blue stripes That will give the most WOW effects at the crowd !
