Can\'t get seat to \"tilt\". Yes, I read my manual! Any tips?

Hello;

Manual says to "lean forward to relieve weight pressure, and push down on the lever". I tried BOTH levers many times and it won't budge in either direction!

Seat moves easily "front to back" and is also easy to make the back-rest "lean forward, lean back".

Any suggestions besides going to the dealer? It is a balmy -7 degrees here today and not a good day to take her out.

Thanks,

Jim Wallace

Are you saying you can't get the seat back to tilt forward or the front part of the seat?

The way I read the book - the back of the seat is the only part of the seat that tilts forward.

You must be registered for see images attach
...does this mean the SRT doesn't have 8-way power seats?

Pay attention class;

For those who didn't READ their assignment for today, I will refer you to page #55 of the SRT-10 OWNERS MANUAL.

See section under "RECLINING SEAT".

"The Recliner control is on the side of the seat on the DOOR SIDE. To RECLINE, lean forward slightly before PUSHING the lever, then lean back to the desired position, and release the lever. Lean FORWARD and PUSH the lever to return the seatback to it's normal position."

The part that caust me to post in the first place, is where the instructions say "PUSH" the lever. Now, my seatback moves with no problem, but that adjustment is made by PULLING UP on the lever to make the seatback adjustments.

Nonetheless, I did try the "PUSHING DOWN" thing as described and it does not "tilt" the seat bottom.

Obviously a descriptive error as these manuals are undoubtedly tweaked slightly by the model of car. I just wanted to see if anyone's seat DID tilt!

Pushing on the lever AS WRITTEN IN THE OWNERS MANUAL, does nothing as far as I can tell. You must admit, that the description IS in the manual, and is obviously a mistake.

Dismissed.

Cornsnake... I didn't see anything in the manual that talks about adjusting the seat bottom other than forward and backward. Am I looking in the wrong place. You may be right about the typo using the word push ILO pull.

The manual was originally written in Japanese. Translating errors are common...

I have my seats all the way back, and they don't recline from that position!
