Uh, am I looking at two Gen V's, silver with white stripes??? This must be a Photoshop job. Silver isn't available for 2013, and white stripes are for Launch Editions only. What am I missing?

VIN #1 is the charity car auctioned at Barrett Jackson in January with a winning bid of $300,000, this is history!

That is awesome for several reasons.
The cluster stating VIN#1
The tag stating VIN#1 and "VIPER GENERATION V"

I guess the silver images were from the two B/W I saw there today. Beautiful looking cars. Although I am not a fan of the plastic covers hiding the valve covers.

We saw the 001 car last Friday at CAAP during the Ohio VCA tour. It must have shipped out last Sunday with the first load leaving the assembly plant. Great color, congrats to the new owner!

Well those two silver ones confirmed exactly what I will be getting if I can knock over a bank son to pay for it. That combination is hot, love that Silver with White stripes.

The silver ones really make the Gen 5 come to life just as Stryker red and TA Orange do :headbang:

Does anyone know if SRT plans to add a silver colour for 2014? I think that would look amazing with hyper black wheels on a GTS, and on a TA with the carbon fiber splitter and spoiler, and the dark TA wheels.

I just received my new Viper yesterday and was out driving it a couple of times. It is an ANIMAL...! Thanks to all those who helped make this car a reality. Special thanks to Steve Sharples from SRT as well as Ben Keating from Viper Exchange as they were incredibly helpful in the past year making this happen. I'm heading out for a drive and plan to post some pics later... Scott

Scott,

Congrats, insanely envious at this point - I can't wait for mine to tear around in!

Love to hear thoughts on how the production version drives and all (I am sure will be glowing reviews)

Didn't you order a 2nd one as well?

I saw the photos of the two silver/titanium gen 5's with white stripes and started looking for my real estate broker's ph # to list my house! Then read they were photoshopped.

Scott - congratulations on VIN 001, and welcome to the Viper club. We hope you can join VCA and SRT Engineering for some events with your new car. She was built to be driven! Love the family picture at home, all the best this Easter holiday.

Enjoy,

Congrats Scott, watched you "buy" the car at BJ last June. Must be great to finally have it in the stable. :2tu:

Just updating the post here.... I have been driving it as much as I could yesterday as well as taking kids niece and nephews out for a juy ride but the best was my sister-in-law who related it to a roller coaster ride. It has been a blast but felt I needed to put it away for the weekend as I was getting to heavy in the pedal for my own good. I don't want to be known as that guy who first wrecked his new Viper. The car accelerates amazingly well and the traction control keeps the car stuck to the pavement and helps in controlling the acceleration. I had it up to 125 with my friend Femi at the BMW dealership, 120 with my wife and 117 with my sister-in-law. That was in third gear, I think... Anyway, it has been a blast to drive this weekend and can't wait to get another great day when I can drive it again.
