there were muscle cars of yesteryear (very nice indeed). The regular line up of stangs and Camaros, tonnes of rice, and 1 Viper...

What struck me is this. There were thousands of people. And like many car shows, some people have their own "displays"; like mirrors under the car, pictures and fancy "ropes" around their car. I went to the show in hopes to get a glance at a Viper (there are only 4 in my city). As I was walking through the rows of cars I could see there was a larger crowd towards one area of the site. Assuming it was some "tricked" out Honda Civic with more twinkle lights on it than my Christmas tree; I just kept walking and figured I would be forced to walk by it anyway.

As I finally approached the crowd, I could see what everyone was gawking at...yes, there she was; a 2000 rt/10 sapphire (sp) with the connolly interior. Very intimidating car. Now this is the kicker. The guy was a regular joe blow. He had no mirrors, stands, pictures or twinkling lights. He just had some "danger" yellow tape around the car (it looked like the setup crews lent it to him). That's it. He was far and away the most popular car there. People would just stare at it for like 5 minutes and not even speak. Like the car was pulling a Jedi mind trick or something  . Cameras flashing like mad. The guy was just joe cool  . Natural with nothing to proove. I must have been there for 30 minutes, and every comment was "this is the most wicked car ever" or "this is the nicest car I have ever seen".

Even at the book store, there was a crowd gathered around that "Viper Book by Daniel Carney". People waiting their turn to just LOOK at a book on the Viper!?!? ***!?! I just thought I would post this because I am still taken back at the attention this car gets. Oh yeah, I casually noticed that the women find it very appealing... :D

This car is really a man among boys. Corvettes (to which I have one), Porsches, Stangs, NSX, you name it; NOTHING got the attention the Viper did.

I can't wait to get it.

Was at a local car show here in Orlando and the beast was a hit, especially with the SC and all the other mods. It is a great feeling when everybody comes up to you and just have nice comments on the car etc. Yes the honeys too!!!!!!!

The Viper attracts people of all ages, which is really cool. When I have mine out, people just can't believe what they're seeing! That's when you know you have something special, no other car out like it (probably, ever...).

We stopped in at this motorcyle/car show, and just wanted to park the Vipers, so we could look at the show. As we are parking on the street outside the show grounds, the parking guy says "Why don't you park over here?" (indicating a location inside the show) He moved the ropes cordoning off the general public from parking at the show, and let us park inside.

Our Vipers became part of the show! People were milling around them, checking them out. Incredible effect this car has on people.

Similar experience with my three week old 2001 GTS ACR. I had no idea! I see Vipers all the time when I go to the track and I have gotten pretty used to seeing them around. My previous cars were Porsche Boxster, Boxster S (yellow), Corvette Z06 (yellow). I have had folks take notice and compliment me on "nice car" but nothing that even compares with this! There is ALWAYS a crowd around my car when I return, folks are always coming out of the gas station to take a look and ask me about it, etc. It's fun.

I had the same thing happen last spring. I was going to go look at a local car show. When I tried to park in the lot, the parking guy said, "go park over there in the show". He talked me into it. I didn't enter the show, I just had it on display. The wife and I had a great time with all the people crowding to have a look at my 94 R/T. I did notice that the guys in the Corvette lineup didn't seem to see my car at all. Probably the crowd blocked their view.
I don't have the Viper emblem on the sides or front. More than a few folks asked "wow, what's that"? Perhaps the Vette guys didn't know either. That must have been why they didn't want to have a look.

Hey, Barry. I saw your GTS pull in, when I was accross the lot. If I knew what you looked like, I would have said hello.

Yours is graphite? I thought that was the steel grey color. Anyway, it looks REAL good on a GTS, really brings out the lines of the car. And that shade won't look dirty too quick, like mine does. I have to wash the sapphire constantly.

There is a So Cal cruise coming up. You going? If so, see you there.

Let's roll. Anytime you're going for a cruise, I'm up for it. You guys left too early, 03 SRT showed up later, Red, no plates. Anybody going to Long Beach Grand Prix this weekend?
