I just saw one and I really think it is the new Autoform hood and front fascia. Two smaller front openings for brake cooling and an '03 style hood scoop.

I have a fiberglass one; on the cover of the most recent (summer 2002) Viper Magazine. It sounds exactly like what you are describing. However it is fiberglas, not carbon fiber, and it is not that heavy. We offer it as an upgrade to the LETHAL 650 and LETHAL 750 packages and we use PIAA fog and driving lights. Combined with HIDs, it casts quite an astonishing amount of light on the road at night. I have a pic of it in the IMAGES area on this site: http://www.viperclub.org/menus/index_media.htm

Try Autoform and SVSi. I don't know what kind of quality that you are expecting, but they are the only game in town at the momment. For a racing application, Oreca sells CF body panels.
