Has anyone been able to order a set as of yet? I'd like to do the two front pieces in the splitter, the two pieces behind the driver and passenger doors, the rear tail light bezel piece, the small wing, the engine covers and the X brace. What is a reasonable price for all of these items installed? Can any SRT authorized dealer order them through the parts dept and install them? Has anyone purchased these items? If purchased all together is there a better rate? Can these regular dealers be trusted to do the install...ie are they trained for that? Should I just win the VCA raffle and save myself the inconvenience? lol

I'm assuming you could order them but I doubt they are available yet. More then likely on backorder. As far as installation goes I would say I would only trust a SRT Viper tech to do the install.

I heard sept time frame.

Local dealer told me $8k(!!!!) for the rear spoiler - but that seems well off considering the entire front and rear spoilers were $4k combined for the factory package.

I want the rear spoiler - $2k? Shut up and take my money. $8k? lol ill be ok.

Agreed, at $2k I'll put the spoiler on my Christmas list. But at $8k I'll put it on my "I'd rather take another vacation this year, so no frighten way ever" list. There should be plenty of profit it the piece at $2k. Hell doesn't the entire hood cost $3k?

Same thing happened when the ACR came out. The ACR wings were uber expensive until they went into production and had some time on the market.

There are 3 carbon packages, from what I understand.

Exterior Group - front grille brake ducts, side window brake ducts, rear tailpanel
Aero Group - front chin splitters, rear hatch spoiler
Interior Group - A/C vent bezels, shifter bezel

The X-brace and valve covers are to be Mopar accessories.

Likely about $10-11K for all those parts. Viper tax....to the max.

Note for the ordering frenzy when the CF parts become available; There's going to need to be 2 different part numbers for the tail panel, one with a hole for the backup camera and one without. I asked about the backup camera in a different thread and noticed last week on mine, that does not have the camera, that my panel does not have the cutout for the camera there. I figured it would be there but plugged (so to speak) but it's not, so they're going to have to make 2 different versions of this piece so every car out there can get one.

Honestly, I am just going to wrap the rear panel - id rather have $2k in cash lets be fair, it is for looks anyway. Anyone claiming weight savings probably could lose 10 pounds ;)

The interior carbon fiber is more than just those 2 places. It is everywhere you see the aluminum now would be carbon fiber.

The entire hood is like 15k-20k something like that. It is the biggest production piece of carbon fiber out there today and it is the most expensive american car part. The old hoods were like 16k so this new one is well over 20 I bet.

It's been reported on this site that it's only $3k, I wasn't just making that up. The old Gen 1 and 2 yes were worth a small Volvo, but the new ones are cheap by comparison.

I am glad posting on this forum requires you to have absolutely no factual basis to post anything other than conjecture.

The hood is $3000, as reported by VPofA.

Well that is very shocking since that is not what Ralph was implying when he got interviewed and Jay Leno asked him how much the hood is. And also if that is the case all of these carbon fiber packages are complete and total BS because that hood should be the most expensive thing ever to make unless it is not all 100% carbon fiber and has some carbon fiber and then CFRP for the rest.

https://www.viperclub.org/raffle/ Cheaper way to get all that carbon fiber! All three groups, Exterior, Interior, and Aero.

There's a lot more than just the two pieces mentioned in the post above in the interior group.

And you can always get individual pricing form VPA.

Carbon Fiber Interior Accents GroupCarbon fiber is used widely in the racing world, and is now utilized extensively in the SRT Viper. The optional Carbon Fiber Interior Package brings the athletic material inside the cabin with a number of tasteful, elegant accents throughout. Elements of this package include: a steering wheel bezel, AC vents, gauge cluster bezel, headlamp switch bezel, center stack bezel, shifter bezel, door remote bezel, map pocket surround, window switch extension and seat racing harness bezel.

I priced the roof it was 12,000

Why is the roof more expensive than the hood? I feel the hood must be harder to make and it is way more carbon fiber if it really is 100% and not CFRP, which I'm starting to think it is now which would explain why you can only see the weave on some of the inside and not all of it like on the zr1.

There are different types of carbon fiber. Not all of them have the fancy weave appearance. The entire hood, roof, and hatch are made of the non-pretty type. The fancy weave you see underneath is just the final layer, and it is only on the underside. The roof costs a lot because it is the entire top half of the car, and goes all the way down to the quarter panels and surrounds the rear hatch. Besides, who has confirmed any of these prices without actual Mopar part numbers?

Well I will wait for confirmation on the hood before I believe. That is extremely hard to believe that entire hood is only 3k. A carbon fiber mirror on a maserati cost more than that.

I'd be interested too, but would prefer not to be the guinny pig car :D

Once proven out, I'd be interested in aftermarket carbon exterior. The carbon aero package may be a bit trickier, as that has to stay on the car, and rigid, giving the right downforce at 150+ MPH :headbang: I'll probably stick with geniune Mopar parts for that.

Agreed. It is hard for me to believe that the G5 hood could be less than the CF hood on my GT-500 KR which sells for $16K. That the G5 hood could be less expensive seems especially unlikely given that there is considerably more material on the G5 hood than that of the GT-500 KR hood. --Paul

Especially we all of these carbon fiber parts are made by Plasan
