tried out some 3M self-adhesive carbon effect vinyl on my mates mirror on saturday, he just wants to change the look of his car for a few months, think the hood louvres are next in line
here's a pic before the final trim, was done on the car, the material is pretty flexible and forms really well using heat without creasing, around the compound curves of the mirror housing
the material is called 3M DI-NOC CA-421 black carbon wrap vinyl, there's about 6 shades within the range all matt finish, anthracite,silver, white etc.
It peels off great without harming the laquar
