CAT DELETE

I have done a search and can not find any information on where I might purchase
a set of cat delete pipes for my 1997 GTS. I would like to buy a bolt in replacement set can anyone help.

Cut cats, cut rear ****, cut res. Replace with straight pipe. Save money plus great sound. Also, if you dont like it it's easy and inexpensive to replace.

I have removed the muffler and have gained some sound, but do I have to cut out the cats or can they be unbolted? And if they are cut out then I have to have the straight pipe fabed and welded in and there are no shops that will do this.

I bought a couple of pieces of 3" stainless from Burns Stainless, but I think you can use aluminized pipe without any problems. You can weld the inserts in, but it's easier to use 3" stainless steel band clamps which are available from your local NAPA dealer for about $12 each.

Call Roe racing. Sean is a very helpful guy who will help thru every step. You can purchase staraight pipe flanged at the ends that will slip over existing pipe with clamps to secure.

I've been thru two emissions tests here in MD and each time they simply hand me a exception form. Nice pulling away w/o the wait.

Maryland puts cars on a dyno and runs them up to 55 mph. BUT there insurance only covers cars up to $50K in value, so therefore the Viper is exempt from the testing.

My new exhaust gets installed tomorrow at Heffners, B&B headers, NO cats and B&B exhaust .

Raven, any muffler shop could put in striaght pipes for almost nothing, problem being you will need to buy simulators to install for the computer, eliminate the check engine light. Sean has these to ship most of the time.

What do you do during emmissions testing without the CATS?

Most honest and reputable emissions dealers will charge you around $100.00. California is a little more difficult and the going rate is in the $200-250 range.
