Have mercy!!!! Less than 1 month and I already have modification fever!!!!
This is for a 2001 GTS with 8,500 miles and obviously still under full factory warranty.
Sorry for the ignorant questions in advance...still learning.

CATS & EXHAUST:
1.) Loudest to softest exhaust tones? Please rate using 1 being the best & then lower?
2.) Lowest interior noise/resonance? Please rate using 1 being the best & then lower?
3.) Who can I get the best prices from and what prices should I expect to pay for each? Reputable of course!
4.) Reputable businesses who do these type of installation in the New Jersey area (central preferred)?
5.) What about ceramic coating and/or heat shields for the cats/exhaust? Brilliant or Bull? I am concerned about the heat.

3:55 REAR END:
6.) Benefits and drawbacks to a 3:55 rear end and again costs and who does it in Central NJ?

7.) Will any of these mods void my full factory warranty?

Thx Folks!

If you want to hear a full Belanger header/exhaust system, let me know! We can discuss cats privately.

Oh I forgot, I live in PA about 10 min. from the Scudders Falls Bridge (I-95).

I dont want to post a commercial, but I believe we can provide some excellent references, local install, and great prices on the best stuff for your goals. No disapointments.

In fact, on behalf of Apex, Roe, PartsRack, Levin, Cragin, Heffner, and a couple I simply forgot, our reputations are all "SAFE BETS" with lots of experience for a new owner, and we are proud of it!

Please call, and THANKS!

NJVIPER, some of my observations: I have the Cosa 3" system with RandomTech cats, it has a more exotic sound to it, many people tell me how cool the car sounds with this system. Corsa has eliminated most of the interior droning, no problems at all at cruising speeds, even long distance. The Borla system is louder and I found it to have too much resonance inside the car. Others swear by the Borla though. Personal choice but I rate
Corsa as the best to live with and sound good.
3:55 gears, alot of discussion and threads. I got mine from PartsRack (excellent place to do business with). I love them. Are the better or faster? The sure feel that way, 3rd and 4th gears are amazing with their pick up and performance, great for the street and I ran mine at Viper Days and found them to be good for Mid Ohio.
JetHot coating, I am currently waiting for my new headers to be returned, 2000 Degree, should help with heat and I will probably reinstall the heat shields, I am overly afraid of fires.
Another good mod, get the EBC Green break pads (again PartsRack)
eliminate all of the brake dust, I drove to VOI7 and back and still had no black on my rims.
As far as warranty, that will depend on your dealer to some extent, but exhaust and gears should not affect it, My Roe SC sure does though, and I don't even care, it is awsome.

NJVIPER,

There is a place by you that does custom exhaust work. It is called Mufflex. Maybe you would want to check them out.

They do everything from street cars to race cars. Have done a few Vipers also. They have done some work for me and it was all top notch. No, not lucky enogh to own a Viper at this time.

As far as the Borla drone or resonance, Borla has a fix for it. If one of the dealers here would e-mail me I will be happy to give the details on it.

Borla does not like to let this info out because they were sending out the "solution" for free and it is costing them money.

This "fix" works on other cars with the "Borla Drone" and should also work very well on the Viper system.

Folks:
Thanks for the feedback....I really appreciate it.
Hope I did not come off to serious since I can joke just as much as the next person. However, I am still in the honeymoon stage and DO NOT want to make a bad decision that could result in any kind of damage to this beautiful work of art. Not to crazed huh?

I have decided on the following modifications so I would like to receive the best prices and quality brand new parts from supporting VCA advertisers on the following items:

1.) Corsa Viper cat-back, 3",(Part#: COR14122), Qty 1
2.) Viper High-Flow Cats, 3",(Car Sound, Part#: CS94009), Qty 2
(Random Flow Cats???)
3.) Exhaust seals (NOTE: Still debating welding front and
clamping from catalytic converters and back)
4.) Viper Snake Boxes
5.) Smooth Tubes, black, 2.5", Qty 2
6.) S&B Filter
7.) Speedometer Recalibration Module, (Part#: ABBERA), Qty 1
8.) Viper 3.55 Gearset,(Unitrax, Part #: UNIVIPER GEARS), Qty 1
9.) All parts necessary for #7 (ie-straps, shims, bearings,
etc.), (Part#: AMMisc), Qty 1
10.) Viper Radiator Hoses, Black, Gen2, with Air Bleeder Screws,
(Part#: APX80101), Qty 1 kit
11.) Skip Shift Delete Kit, Qty 1
12.) EBC Green Pads, Viper,Front,92+,(Part#: EBCDP21031),Qty 1
(2/set)
13.) EBC Green Pads, Viper,Rear,01+,(Part#: EBCDP21164),Qty 1
(2/set)

PLEASE ITEMIZE ALL COSTS & REMEMBER TO INCLUDE ALL SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES, TAXES (If applicable, for New Jersey) and AND ANY OTHER CHARGES...no suprises please!

Any and all discounts (VCA member, etc.) are greatly appreciated!

Would also appreciate the names of any qualified installers in the Central New Jersey area (outside of the capital: Trenton).

Please send all written quotations to: [email protected]

Looking to purchase and have installed asap so please submit quotes by Monday, November 25th or sooner.

This method is alot easier than calling everyone one at a time!

Thanks again.

Only one estimate given so far, but maybe because it is the weekend.
NOTE: I will keep all quotes from vendors confidential between them and myself.
I have decided to change to a Mopar exhaust with everything else being the same on the list.
Waiting to hear.......
Thanks again!!!!!!

To-date, I have received ZERO response.
I do not believe I have offended the forum vendors, but I have received only 1 estimate for the items I have listed in this post and that was actually because of a phone call I made prior to making the post.
My intent was to give first dibs to the product vendors who support this forum.
The only change to the list was the Mopar exhaust versus the Corsa.
I had a assumed the post would make it easier for vendors to quote knowing what I was looking for plus save me time (which I have so little of already) since I travel so much.
Don't know what to think??????????????????????

Many supporting vendors don't read the forum too much. If you want your parts you are better off calling them or you will endup waiting till spring.
