Well, this was refreshing, literally. Went out for a quick ride...sunny, hot and humid. No rain clouds that I could see. I'm almost home, about 2 miles away, when the skies turned dark, wind picked up and I can see the rain hammering the road behind from my rear view mirror. I would've made it home in time (legally of course) if the idiot drivers in front of didn't slow down and gawk around at the storm coming at them.
I pulled into an ATM that had a roof. Barely made it as the rain, hail, wind, leaves were swirling around me. I got soaked, my Viper not so much. My visors were soaked but overall the interior was sparred for the most part. Nothing got soaked and a quick toweling took care of it. But, now I have detail my Viper all over again.
Yes, I had my soft top in the trunk but I refuse to use it. I hate it. I've always hated it. It was worth it for me to get wet vs. dealing with erecting the soft top.
Anyone else get caught out there? Some of the hail I saw on the roads was pretty large. This hail I caught in my Viper (litterally just two little balls) was pretty tiny....tiny little balls...I think they were meant for a red viper:
