Having a hard time opening up the air box to change the filters. Do I need to remove the tubes first ?

The fit is tight around the air box but no need to remove the tubes to access the filter. If it still plays hard to open then loosening the tubes will help.

Steps 1-7
1) remove the 3 retaining screws to the box. (red arrow)
2) remove driver side vac/vent line (black arrow)
3) remove passenger side 1" hose with clamp on it (purple arrow)
4) unplug IAT sensor (silver arrow)
5) remove intake hoses in any order (yellow arrow)
6) slide box out
7) drink alcohol

I literally just did this, took me a grand total of MAYBE 7 minutes AND the motor was still hot. Good luck.
