1 liter should be enough.
Depends on how experienced you are and how you are doing it, manual versus bleeder.
Castrol SRF is the best and expensive. If I were you and didn't have experience, I might consider doing it first with something else. Even Valvoline Synthetic Dot4 is only about $6 a liter. The worst would be to run the reservoir dry.
