I don't think anyone makes steel wheels to fit the Viper - i.e. large enough and with the correct bolt pattern. Besides, weight is the enemy - aluminum is the way to go (or magnesium, etc.....)

An extra set of stockers can be had pretty cheaply.

A couple years agp Stockon wheel (stocktonwheel.com) told me they'd built some steel rally wheel type rims for Vipers.

I think back rims would've been around $175ea. I don't remember what diameter we were talking about at the time.

Give them a call, see what they can do.

:)

eric i have the deal your looking for, polished ccw aluminum 3 piece track wheels with r compunds heat cycled already on them! tires have some decent life left. i was going to powdercoat the center black leaving the outer-ring polished but have since desided to go another route. the wheels are perfectly straight. will part with them for a mere 1200.00 shipped to you. they are 17" let me know i have pics avail to email you.

Back in my stock car days, I remember there were at least a few places where you could order steel racing wheels in any size, offset, width... You name it, they would make it for you.
They were not expensive at all.

Problem is, I don't remember what the names were. I'm sure if you look in a copy of Circle Track magazine, you could find one of their ads in the back.

A little googling for "stock car wheels" might help.

Good luck.

My old AX-OEMs (18s with a tortured set of pilots) from my 99 are on the bidders block. $1,000 shipped US. They are not pretty, but no one notices at 140mph.
